These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Penlify ("Penlify", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to use Penlify.

2. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Free trials convert to a paid subscription only if you choose to continue. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

3. Acceptable use

• Don't use Penlify to create or publish unlawful, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content.
• Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Don't resell or misrepresent the service, or use it to spam.

4. Connected destinations

Penlify can publish to third-party platforms you connect (such as WordPress, Ghost, or Webflow). You're responsible for holding valid rights to those destinations and for complying with each platform's own terms. You can revoke any connection at any time.

5. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you create with Penlify. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process, and publish that content on your instruction, and to operate and improve the service.

6. Intellectual property

The Penlify software, brand, and materials are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service, nothing more.

7. Disclaimers

Penlify is provided "as is". SEO, AEO, and GEO scores are guidance, not guarantees — we don't promise any particular search ranking, traffic, or AI-citation outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Penlify will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using Penlify at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to us or others.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email, and the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
