How Penlify collects, uses, and protects your information.

This Privacy Policy explains what data Penlify ("we", "us") collects when you use our website and application, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using Penlify you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

  • Account data — your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure hash) when you create a workspace.
  • Content you create — drafts, keywords, scores, and related metadata you produce in the editor.
  • Connected-site credentials — API keys and tokens for the destinations you choose to connect, stored encrypted (AES-256) and never exposed to your browser.
  • Usage data — basic, privacy-respecting analytics such as pages viewed and features used, to improve the product.

How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Penlify service.
  • To publish content to the destinations you explicitly connect and instruct.
  • To communicate with you about your account, security, and product updates.
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, abuse, and fraud.

How your data is stored & secured

Connected-site credentials are encrypted at rest and verified server-to-server; they are never sent to the browser and can be revoked by you at any time. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect all data, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate Penlify (for example hosting and email delivery), and only as needed to provide the service, or where required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@penlify.com.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, and delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period after you close your account, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you within the app or by email.
